Kait's Escape

I like to read about ass kicking and happily ever after.

Lucky in Love - Jill Shalvis My favorite so far.
2k to 10k: Writing Faster, Writing Better, and Writing More of What You Love - Rachel Aaron I swear she is in my head...

Great insight and hits all the right buttons to make this writer/geek/efficiency addict happy.

Highly recommend.
Heist Society - Ally Carter A delightful romp--the best things about Ocean's 11 on a YA scale.
Flash Gold - Lindsay Buroker Quick, fun read that has a full adventure that can be read in one sitting. This totally sated my yen for some fast steampunk...and fueled a desire for more. Just went to nab the other two novellas in the series. I enjoyed the heroine Kali, and have plenty of curiosity about her business partner Cedar--and the die hard romance junkie in me is hoping to see something come of those two in future installments :eyebrow waggle:
Winterspell - Claire Legrand AMAZING.
Archangel's Storm - Nalini Singh My absolute most favorite yet! It really appealed to my love of hurt-comfort fic. And it was lovely to get to glimpse another part of the world. Two thumbs up.
Riveted - Meljean Brook I really waffled on how to rate this one. I loved the characters and the riveting (yes really) emotion of this book, but I didn't like the story as well as #2. So really...4.5 stars (though it won't let me actually pick that). It totally made me cry. In a good way.
Exclusively Yours - Shannon Stacey Didn't work for me.
Magic of the Celtic Otherworld: Irish History, Lore & Rituals (Llewellyn's Celtic Wisdom) - Stephen Blamires Interesting collection of lore and in depth look at the Irish Celts and the historical roots of their connection to Otherworld.
Simply Irresistible - Jill Shalvis Loved this book. I've been searching for more contemporary romance that has the spunky heroines, family ties, good friendships and small towns I love about Nora Roberts' work, and the Lucky Harbor series absolutely fits the bill.
Soulless - Gail Carriger, Gail Carriger This was a marvelous, jaunty read, combining the hilarity of Amelia Peabody and the paranormal I love. Highly recommend.
City of Lost Souls - Cassandra Clare Apart from an egregious firearms error (shotguns fire shells, not bullets), more awesome and damn it I have to wait another year for the resolution? So not cool...
Shadow and Bone - Leigh Bardugo OMG. I just can't even...
Forbidden - Suzanne Brockmann Was okay. I liked the characters but I was expecting more of ranch life in Montana.
Worlds Burn Through - Vicki Keire I have a love/hate relationship with trilogies. I love the continuation of story. I really really REALLY hate having to wait to find out what happens. I really enjoyed this novella--it's so full of rich characters and worldbuilding that I was actually quite surprised to find that it WAS a novella. LOTS of story packed in a tiny space, lacking for nothing except a closer release date of the next installment. Worlds Burn Through is a must read for contemporary fantasy, urban fantasy, dark fantasy, and paranormal romance alike (though you're going to have to wait until the next installments for resolution on the romance part, I suspect). I fell in love with Keire's work with her Angel's Edge trilogy, and this shorter work did NOT disappoint.
Heart of Steel - Meljean Brook Only a few chapters in, but the narrator is fantastic.
